Each root is slightly different, it has a unique structure and shape giving great arrangement possibilities. They are perfectly suited for planting with vegetation/moss, and provide algae eaters with essential fibrous substances.
The roots are dry and will not sink by themselves. They need to be soaked earlier or possibly burdened with something. 
They do not release any harmful substances and are completely safe for fish and reptiles. The advantage of the roots is that they do not affect the water parameters and its significant colouring.
